Just recently i have enjoyed watching The lone Ranger starring johnny depp , apparently and i did not know that johnny himself has american native blood in him. Has anyone seen it?

I have also enjoyed The world's fastest Indian starring Anthony Hopkins, i really enjoyed this as i did not think i would, mind you i think he is a great actor.

Hi Gemini

I loved that film 'The Worlds Fastest Indian' too and I didn't expect to either!

I watched 'A Beautiful Mind' with Russel Crow recently, I love it, but it's a bit harrowing!

erm...possibly embarrassing

It's probably going to make you all laugh but the last film I watched was Star Trek 4 - The voyage Home. It was on Film4 the other night and was a welcome distraction form all the football. It's my favourite of all the original Star Trek movies as they began making fun of themselves. I do like the news ones with Chris Pine too.

On a slightly less embarrassing note, the last film I went to the cinema to see was X-Men:Days of Future Past. Any excuse to see Hugh Jackman in the buff!!

Blessings, Lee :)

I watched the lone ranger a few weeks ago - what a funny movie!  Loved the horse :-)

I know it's a cartoon but Hotel Transylvania always makes me laugh - the more you watch it the more you see.

How to Train your Dragon 2 & The Other Boleyn Girl

Hi,

I watched 'The Other Boleyn Girl' the other day as I really love historical stuff, although it strayed a bit from the book and just didnt have the detail that was in the book.

Me and my son (who is 18!) went to the cinema to watch 'How to Tain your Dragon 2'. We were the only ones there without a little kid and it was packed! I want a Night Fury dragon! Toothless is just a cute dragon!

I am Snowy a visitor  and I

I am Snowy a visitor  and I like to drop a line about films and books .............. I cannot remeber the last films I watched because I like all films because they are great when you want an escape and relax if you do not want to do bad stuff...............  I  would probably recommend things like  Merlin or other fantasies  because  you can watch other people's issues  and forget your own!

With Autumn evenings now

With Autumn evenings now beating at our doors, there is nothing to beat snuggling down under the duvet/throw with a hot drink and watching the magic and thrill of new television dramas, fused with the glitter of Strictly Come Dancing (if you like a piece of Anton Du Beke, he played a part in Doctors as a judge for a local dance competition). For my daughter that means Doctor Who ... yes she is of the new generation, and is quite the fan of David Tennant.

In fact she was keen to have a twitter conversation to see what others thought about the show from its conception in 1963 to now.

I started with that although my Doctor Tom Baker, for me my fav was Peter Davison (in his Edwardian cricket whites) and David Tennant, I could have possibly liked Paul McGann.

Both Peter Capaldi and Sylvester McCoy amuse me. Although perphaps Clara can warm him up, or he could very possibly lose the show.

Don't like Colin Baker or Matt Smith.

No opinion on Christopher Eccleston.

So what do you think?

Been catching up on a few movies and programmes

Maleficent again, lol, that a newbie bestie with my daughter since frozen, and my son has had spongebob squarepants movie on repeat for maybe three month now so that's maybe why I feel like I live in a pineapple under the sea. Pmsl, can I put that abbreviation without offence, if it causes offence I apologise but that's just me, if it posts then it must be ok!

Just watched the new transformers film and the new x-men and Godzilla, not all at once but throughout October till now, think I saw a Star Trek post from a while ago, and I love all the star treks, films and episodes, watched them all, even likes of Star Trek voyager, babylon 5, Stargate Atlantis, which not one of my friends or family are into and think I was possibly born on an another planet like Vulcan, lol, but that just our humour, they get me! I like to make people smile. Must admit Im a film buff, but with two kids now I catch up on the films that the kids are not interested in and I've been dying to see when they become available out of the pictures and not had the chance to go along with friends.

Also Ronin 47 that I didn't think I would like, which i recollect also thinking about The last samurai before I saw it, but thoroughly enjoyed, which in a simple way taught me a lesson, and Rainman for the first time which I cried at all the way through.

Then my again and again films for chuckles and my favourites at the moment are Talladega Nights: the legend of Ricky Bobby and Blades of Glory, Dodgeball and Elf, oh and Zoolander at somepoint I've not watched that in ages and it hilarious,

Just rambling some films even if not to your taste that you might find you like after you have watched it. Or like me I watch a film that's recommended by a friend who has liked it and I watch it and can't get into it as it's not for me and turn off, we are all diverse and like different things, like me and my syfy but it makes no difference to my friends, I've made them sit through lord of the ring films and the hobbit which they have all fallen asleep during lol, but they still come because it was my turn to choose the film basically lol.

What I love television programme wise, don't know if anybody else watches but is Sleepy Hollow season two just started and Law and Order SVU on universal, and the New Season of The Walking Dead and American Horror Stories which is on Fox, my favourite tv at the minute though is Dominion, it's just started and the second episode was just there on Syfy Thursday and love New Finding Bigfoot and Swamp Wars on animal planet, can't wait for Grimm to start its new season on Watch soon.

Scrooge

I watched Scrooge yesterday, the old Alistair Sims 1951 verson.

It was really good and extremely thought provoking because I suddenly realised it's all about karma, how the sort of life you have lived can come back to haunt you and also how you can change your life and your future by doing good instead of bad.  It hadn't occurred to me before that Scrooge is all about love and forgiveness and learning from life experiences and rather than becoming ever more bitter and mean!

hi there

The last film is Deliever us from Evil apparently a true life film about a New York cop helping a preist to get rid of the demon that was in possessing so many people and getting them to do evil things too.

The Book I am reading is called House of light and House of darkness, and the film to it was called, The Conjuring, very good and very scary.  It is also very true too.  The famous couple were called the Warrens.  You should google it and you will know what I mean.  Also the film Annabella which is also scary - a demon possessing a doll and it is again a true story.  The Warrens have it in their home and it get blessed twice or three times per month.
